Camp Protocols

  1. Maintain social distancing for individual skill work and any time possible – designated spots

Camp counselors will have a designated group at the beginning of camp and stay with that group throughout. No groups larger than 10 at any time. Campers will not be allowed in locker rooms.

  • Parents or guardians are not allowed to come to camp during or between camp sessions. Parents or guardians should not come within 6 feet of individuals not within the same household. Work to complete pre-camp paperwork and provide instruction on procedures to parents prior to the start of camp, thus eliminating the need for on-site registration. This should help prevent gatherings. Parents and guardians should remain in their vehicles at camper drop-off and pick-up. Inform parents of pick-up protocol – parents wait in cars in line in front of Mabee and we send kids out when the parent gets to the front of the line.
  1. Train campers in appropriate cleaning and disinfection, hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette (coughing/sneezing in elbow or kleenex away from people)

Hand sanitizing station – coach monitored – before, between sessions, after

  1. Add signs to the bathroom reminding everyone of best hygiene practices

  1. Screen campers for symptoms – Athletic Trainer (AT) will do the screening at the beginning of each camp day

Follow AT protocol when a camper has a temperature/symptoms

  1. Create a check in google doc for each camper so their guardian has access to seeing their confirmed cleared status to participate.  Each camper will be expected to check off their status every morning upon being cleared by the AT for symptoms before camp starts.

  1. Clean equipment daily – Coaches/camp counselors will wipe door handles, toilet handles, sink knobs and sitting areas with Clorox wipes

Campers will be required to leave camp balls each day so that coaches can clean them with disinfectant spray

  1. No shared drink coolers – No water fountain use – Coach distributed Gatorade and water

  1. Campers will be allowed a prorated refund if they are unable to complete camp due to illness, weather or any other issue that may arise.
